Penny Love is believed to be a Lab mix approximately 1.5 years old and currently weighs 70 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age.

From day one in her foster home, Penny has been an absolute dream. Truly the kind of dog people hope for. Her energy is beautifully laid back. Shes not constantly on the go, not busy or chaotic. Shes usually found curled up relaxing, just enjoying being near her people. She has that rare young dog with an old soul vibe that makes her feel so easy and comforting to be around. And while she loves being close to her humans, shes not clingy or overwhelming. Shell happily stay nearby, keeping you company, without needing to be on top of you every second. Its the perfect balance.

When it comes to other dogs, Penny is polite but a little shy at first and more of a slow-burn companion. Penny does best with dogs that are more on the calm side when meeting and not wanting to immediately jump into play right out the gate because thats just not Penny. Once she knows shes safe, though, she relaxes and starts to open up especially with calm, mature dogs who match her vibe. She enjoys being around them, sniffing, walking alongside, etc. When she does play, she enjoys doing little side-by-side romps but shes not a rough-and-rowdy playstyle kind of girl. Think lets hang out together energy, not chaos.

Penny will do best in a home with a doggy friend that has the same cool, calm, and collected vibe like herself. A male friend that enjoys the company of another dog, isnt looking for a constant playmate, and will respect her space once she arrives at her forever home. If you dont have other dogs, Penny is totally fine with that. She is always happiest when shes surrounded by her favorite people, and she truly loves everyone! While shell happily play with another dog that matches her style, her eyes light up when shes being loved on, and she doesnt need the company of another dog to feel secure or fulfilled. Besides, we dont think shell mind being the center of your attention anyway. Shell soak it all up.

If you dont have other dogs but you have a cat or two, Penny is cat friendly and is currently fostered in a home with 3 cats free roaming and does great with them! Her fosters cats are very dog savvy and are used to being around big dogs. Penny and her feline friends happily co-exist, do their own thing, and dont really bother each other too much. Penny will do best in a home with a cat (if you have one) that is very similar in temperament as the ones she is fostered with. They are aloof, keep to themselves, and dont really care to interact with Penny.

Doesnt she already sound amazing?! Well wait, theres more! Penny loves treats, is learning basic commands such as sit, and wants to make you happy. She is potty trained as well and is working on getting more comfortable with a crate every day. Shell be a great companion for someone who enjoys going on casual strolls throughout the neighborhood and for someone looking for a snuggly pal at the end of the day. She is essentially a homebody and just enjoys the peace and comfort being home. She will absolutely go exploring with you on mini adventures, she just enjoys being home.

Penny enjoys being outside and would absolutely love for her forever home to have a nice big backyard where she can roam, play with her toys, and relax in the sun. Penny isnt chaotic puppy energy. Shes that perfectly balanced, go-with-the-flow Lab who knows when its time for a stroll, when its time for a toy, and when its time to melt into the couch beside you. Penny does have the potential to also thrive in an apartment. She is generally a mellow girl that doesnt require a whole lot of exercise, her at the end of the day, her happy place is with you. She has wonderful house manners, is respectful in the home, and carries herself like the polite little lady she is. No nonsense. No drama. Just solid, dependable good girl energy.

Penny isnt just looking for a home, shes looking for her family. The ones who are ready for a steady, loyal companion who will greet you with a wagging tail, settle in beside you after a long day, and quietly become the best decision youve ever made. Shes the kind of dog who doesnt need to be flashy to stand out. Her goodness speaks for itself. If youve been waiting for that easygoing, well-mannered, dog-friendly, cat-friendly, mellow Lab who feels like shes always been yours... this is your sign. Penny is ready to start her forever chapter, all she needs now is you
