Cornbread

Meet Cornbread! This adorable 4-month-old puppy is already nearly the same size as his mom, who only weighs about 12 pounds! Cornbread was found alongside his sweet mother at the Weslaco shelter in deep South Texas. While we don't know who his dad was, our best guess is he may have been in the 20-25 pound range, but that's purely speculation based on Cornbread's impressive size already. It's hard to believe this little guy is only a few months old considering how quickly he is growing, but one thing is certain: Cornbread is an absolute sweetheart. He is currently thriving in a wonderful foster home, where he is doing great with all the basics and soaking up love and guidance. Just one look at his video, and you will see exactly what a sweet, lovable boy ready to find a forever family all his own.

Ideal Home

Cornbread would do wonderfully in a family with children or with an active home that can provide the exercise, structure, and affection every growing puppy needs.

Ongoing Health

Cornbread is neutered, up to date on all shots, and microchipped. All dogs adopted through Wags receive Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate), all core vaccines (age-appropriate), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, regular de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, and a microchip. Please familiarize yourself with Chagas disease, as it's endemic in the south.

Training & Support

Cornbread is doing great with the basics in his foster home and soaking up love and guidance.
