Wintergreen

Wintergreen is a delightful senior lady with a heart full of sunshine and energy to spare! Don't let her age fool you; this sweet girl has springs in her step and a zest for life that's truly infectious. She absolutely adores receiving attention and will soak up every scratch and moment of affection you offer. Wintergreen clearly knows the joys of a loving home and a comfortable routine, and we're eager to help her find her way back to that happy place.

Ongoing Health

Wintergreen was surrendered due to skin issues. While her coat may need a little extra care and attention, her spirit remains wonderfully bright. All dogs at Chicago Animal Care and Control are spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.

Training & Support

Wintergreen is noted as not house-trained. Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended for any resident dogs after allowing time for decompression.

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• All household members, especially those under 18 and any decision-makers, should be present to meet dogs.
• We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential sibling at the shelter. Proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s) will be required.

Transportation

Wintergreen is currently located at Chicago Animal Care and Control at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL. They are open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you plan to adopt on the day of your visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm can still view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm.
