STIX

Stix (A567890) is a resilient and loving soul who arrived at our shelter as a stray in need of some serious TLC. Despite his rough start, which left him underweight, Stix has shown us incredible kindness and a sweet disposition. He's incredibly food-motivated, which is understandable given his past, and he's already mastered the "sit" command, readily offering it for a tasty reward. Stix enjoys staying close and leans in for affection when he feels secure. He's been introduced to a female dog and seems to prefer quiet companionship, happily coexisting in the yard rather than engaging in rough play. Stix is gentle with other dogs and is looking for a home to fill his belly, his heart, and help him regain his strength. He's estimated to be around 4 years old and currently weighs 40 pounds.

Ideal Home

Stix would thrive in a home that can provide him with consistent meals and a loving environment to help him recover and put on weight. He enjoys quiet companionship and seems to do well with other dogs who appreciate a more laid-back approach.

Ongoing Health

Stix is currently underweight and needs a home committed to helping him gain healthy weight. All animals adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and given a 30-day flea/tick preventative.

Training & Support

Stix already knows "sit" and is eager to please, especially for food. He seems to enjoy quiet companionship and may benefit from continued gentle socialization.
