Meet Bud, a 2-year-old miniature poodle mix with a big personality packed into a small body! He’s the kind of dog who instantly makes himself at home, especially if there’s a cozy spot on the couch beside you. Bud is outgoing, playful, affectionate, and happiest when he’s curled up in your lap soaking up attention. He has a wonderful balance of energy – playful enough to enjoy adventures and games, but calm enough to settle in nicely at home for cuddle time afterward. Bud’s sweetest qualities include how polite he is with other dogs; he plays beautifully and reads other dogs’ cues very well. He has especially enjoyed spending time with his foster’s Australian Shepherd and has shown himself to be a respectful and social companion. While he may get excited and pull a bit on leash when he spots another dog, he’s very redirectable and eager to learn, making continued leash training very manageable. Bud has also done wonderfully around children, showing a gentle and friendly nature with them. He appears to be mostly cat-friendly as well, though he may occasionally get playful and give chase, so slow introductions and supervision are recommended. Like many young dogs, Bud is still building confidence with car rides and can get a little anxious during them. With patience and positive experiences, he’s already making progress. His loving personality and willingness to connect with people make him such a rewarding little companion.
Ideal Home
Bud’s ideal home is simply one that loves small dogs and wants a loyal best friend to share the couch, daily walks, and lots of affection. If you’re looking for a sweet, cuddly companion with a playful spirit and a loving heart, Bud may be your perfect match.
Ongoing Health
Bud is neutered, vaccinated, and up to date on all preventions.
Training & Support
Bud is fully housebroken and crate trained for up to four hours. While he is very redirectable and eager to learn, continued leash training is recommended, especially as he can pull on leash when excited by other dogs. Bud is still building confidence with car rides and may get anxious, but he is making progress with patience and positive experiences.
