ALEX

Alex is a friendly, social Great Pyrenees mix who loves meeting new people. He's lived happily with a 12-year-old child and a cat. Alex previously lived on a ranch where his job was protecting pigs from bears, and he even slept in a horse stall! His previous owners believe he would be happiest and safest returning to a lifestyle where he can use his natural guardian instincts.

Ideal Home

Alex would thrive on a working ranch or large rural property with plenty of space to roam. He needs a home where his guardian instincts can be put to good use and where his people understand livestock guardian breeds.

Alex is neutered.

Training & Support

Alex is not crate trained and is a true escape artist, having learned to open doors, gates, and locks, and even chewed through fencing. When left loose inside, he is not potty trained and will get into the trash and eat the cat's food. He needs a home that can provide the space and understanding to manage his breed's natural drives and potentially work on house training and impulse control with secure containment.
