About Belle

Belle is a beautiful Black Lab and Shepherd mix with a striking white patch on her chest that is as unique as her spirit. Her journey to us was not an easy one; she was found as a stray in Houston and ended up on the euthanasia list at a high-kill shelter in Texas. When we first saw her, she was trembling with fear in her kennel, and we knew we had to step in to help her feel safe again. Since being rescued, Belle has shown us that she has the sweetest, most gentle personality. While her past has made her a bit cautious, she is slowly learning that the world can be a kind place. She is looking for a patient forever family who understands that she might need a little extra time to settle in and feel truly at home. Belle gets along great with other dogs and would do best with a doggy companion to help bring her out of her shell. We promise you—Belle is worth every single bit of the wait. She has an incredibly sweet nature and is looking for a soft place to land. Belle gets along great with other dogs and finds comfort in their company. Despite a terrifying start in a high-kill shelter, she is learning to trust again. She is a gorgeous Lab/Shepherd mix with a signature white "star" on her chest. Belle is simply waiting for a family to show her what a stable, loving home feels like.
