Yogi might be the loyal, easygoing, and quietly devoted companion you've been searching for! This 5-year-old Lab/Shar-Pei mix weighs around 63 pounds and boasts a soft chestnut coat and a sweet, slightly wrinkled face that always seems to be smiling. Yogi has a calm and grounded presence, forming strong bonds with her people and simply wanting to be by your side. She's friendly and loving, though she may need a moment to warm up to new faces. Once comfortable, she's affectionate, fun, and a breeze to be around, settling into your routine without any fuss.
Yogi is fully potty trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash with just occasional reminders. She's a low-maintenance and adaptable dog with a moderate energy level; she enjoys her daily walks and playtime but is equally happy to relax at home. She'd be content in a house or apartment, as long as she gets regular exercise.
When it comes to other dogs, Yogi can be a bit selective. She does best with calmer, easygoing canine companions and prefers one-on-one interactions over busy group settings. She could also thrive as an only dog. She has been exposed to cats and did well with them.
Ideal Home
Yogi would do best in a home with older, respectful children and with someone who appreciates a dog that bonds deeply and wants to be an integral part of your world.
Ongoing Health
Yogi is currently heartworm positive and has started treatment. She will need a committed adopter who can continue her care. Otherwise, she is a healthy, wonderful dog ready for her next chapter.
Training & Support
Yogi is a work in progress, as are all rescue pups. She comes with her own story and quirks, but with patience and presence, she will bloom into the very best version of herself.
