Rainbow

Rainbow is a ~7-year-old, 35-40lb bundle of sweetness, but on her own terms! She's a special girl who thrives in a home where she can roam and explore her yard like a big cat, rather than seeking constant cuddles. While she can be a bit reserved with strangers, especially on her own territory, she blossoms into a loving companion with her trusted people. Rainbow is incredibly easy to care for and requires very little, making her a low-maintenance friend for the right person. She has completed 3 weeks of behavioral modification training and has shown great improvement, with ongoing support available to her new owner.

Ideal Home

Rainbow needs a home with a very experienced owner who understands dogs with potential behavioral challenges towards strangers. She would not do well in an apartment; a spacious, fenced backyard is a must as she loves spending time outdoors. Ideally, her home would have one or two people with few visitors, and she is not for the inexperienced.

Ongoing Health

Rainbow is spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She has fully recovered from surgery on her leg, and her strength is continuing to rebuild.

Training & Support

Rainbow has received behavioral modification training and continues to make great progress. Her trainer will offer support in her new home to reinforce what she has learned. She can be protective of her space and hesitant with new people, so patience and understanding are key. A trainer is highly recommended to help her build confidence.
