Smokey is a 2-year-old male Cane Corso / Weimaraner mix who weighs 60 pounds. He came to us as a stray and is now fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and ready to find his forever family! Smokey has a low to moderate energy level. He enjoys playing with other dogs and cuddling on the couch. He's a very sweet, kind-hearted, and affectionate boy who just wants love and attention. Smokey is submissive with other dogs and loves a good game of chase. He's a smart and quick learner with a gentle nature and friendly personality, making him the perfect companion for someone looking for a laid-back, easygoing dog. Smokey is a total couch potato who's happy to hang out and relax with you all day!
Ideal Home
Smokey would prefer a home without cats. He would thrive in a low-traffic home due to his shyness with new people. He would also do really well in a home with a doggie companion, as he loves playing with other dogs. Smokey would be best suited for someone with a house, not an apartment, and would love a home with someone who works from home or is only away for a few hours a day.

Training & Support
Smokey is fully potty trained. He walks great on a leash, though he might pull slightly when initially excited by strangers or other dogs, but he is easily redirected and settles into a calm walk. He can be a little nervous around strangers and might bark out of excitement. Smokey is not a huge fan of being crated and prefers not to be shut in. He does have some separation anxiety and will cry for a bit when you leave, but he doesn't tear anything up and eventually stops.
