Mickie is a sweet and intelligent Chihuahua mix with a wonderful personality. He is approximately 2 years and 7 months old and weighs 18.7 lbs. Mickie is very social and enjoys being around people and other dogs. While he might be a little reserved at first, he quickly shows his affectionate nature once he feels comfortable and builds trust. He loves to run, play, go for walks, and spend time with his humans. Mickie is obedient, playful, and very loving, enjoying both giving and receiving affection. He gets along well with dogs, children, men, and women, making him a great match for many types of families. Mickie uses his crate for sleeping and does well with a routine. He is eager to bond, learn, and adapt, and he will quickly become a loving and loyal member of his adoptive family.
Ideal Home
Mickie would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. He needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue and a deep understanding of the needs and behaviors of rescued animals. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer. He requires a family with high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.
Ongoing Health
Mickie is neutered, vaccinated with DHPPI and Rabies, Bordetella, and dewormed. He is microchipped, has a negative 4DX test, and a negative heartworm test. He is currently on monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He has received a health certificate and has a vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Mickie is not house-trained. It's important to understand that rescued dogs may have experienced trauma and require an adjustment period. Patience, understanding, and establishing a routine are crucial to help Mickie build trust and feel secure in his new environment.

- Upon approval, you will sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which covers vet care, spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and food.
Transporation
Mickie is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast. Door-to-door delivery is available through a contracted transport company. Scheduled trips occur 3-4 times per year with a minimum of 15-20 adoptions per trip. The transport fee is $400 USD. For US adoptions, pets are escorted across the border into Texas. For Canadian adoptions, pets are delivered to the nearest US-Canada border. Real-time updates are provided via a private Facebook Messenger group.
