Basil

Basil is a sweet but shy mixed breed who arrived at EASEL after he was found tied to a fire hydrant, abandoned. He is nervous when first meeting people, but once he warms up, he is a total love! Basil enjoys rolling over for attention, going for walks, and being close to his favorite people. He's an adult, estimated to be about two years old and fully grown, weighing in at around 45lbs.

Ideal Home

Basil would thrive in an adult-only home with owners who have dog experience. He needs a confident handler who can provide him with structure and guidance to help him be his best self.

Basil is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Basil is working on his basic commands and leash skills. While he's a shorter guy, he can be strong on leash, so continued training will be beneficial. He has started to make friends with some dogs at the shelter, showing he can improve with positive interactions and routine. With patience and guidance, Basil will blossom into an excellent companion.
