Meet Nova!

Nova is a spirited nine-and-a-half-year-old, 75-pound Labrador Retriever with a glossy black coat and the heart of a puppy. She's an affectionate girl who never meets a stranger, always ready with enthusiastic kisses and happy tail wags. Nova thrives on connection, whether she's playing with her favorite squeaky llama toy, showing off her "sit" and "shake," or cuddling after a walk. She enjoys structure, including two daily walks, consistent mealtimes, and a cozy nighttime routine. While she loves couch snuggles and belly rubs, Nova has a mischievous side and has a history of counter-surfing and exploring mulch piles. When left alone, she does best with supervision and a sturdy crate, especially with a peanut butter-filled Kong.

Ideal Home

Nova would do wonderfully in a home with older children and active caregivers who can keep her engaged, exercised, and loved. She needs to be the only furry friend in the home, as she prefers the solo spotlight and has had past challenges with other dogs, including two bite incidents. She does not show aggression toward people, but she thrives in a pet-free environment where she can feel relaxed and secure as the center of attention.

Ongoing Health

Nova has a sensitive stomach and can sometimes experience stress when left alone.

Training & Support

Nova is fully house-trained and crate-trained. She does best with supervision when left alone, and a sturdy crate with a peanut butter Kong is recommended.
