Channel is an 8-month-old, 43.6 lb Caramelo Dog looking for a loving forever home. Channel's journey began in difficult circumstances, born on a property where corrosive cleaning products were manufactured. Her rescuer brought her home to safety on January 4th, 2026, after a tragic accident where she was the sole survivor of her litter. Since then, Channel has received the care she needed to heal, grow, and learn what love feels like. She is a playful and affectionate girl who enjoys attention and gentle pets. Channel gets along well with cats, dogs, men, and women. While she can be a bit protective and cautious around new people at first, her loving personality quickly emerges once she feels safe. Channel can also feel nervous when left alone, so she would do best with a patient and reassuring family who can offer her companionship as she builds confidence. After surviving such a challenging start, Channel truly deserves a family that will provide her with the safety, stability, and unconditional love she has always deserved.
Ideal Home
Channel would thrive in a home with an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a fenced backyard. Families with a genuine intention to rescue and a deep understanding of the needs and behaviors of rescued animals are ideal. Prior experience with dog behavior and training is a plus, or a willingness to hire a trainer is essential. Channel requires a high level of tolerance and patience from her new family.
Ongoing Health
Channel has received a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchipping, a 4DX test, a negative heartworm test, monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive, and a health certificate with a vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Channel is not house-trained, and adopters should be prepared for this. It's important to understand that rescued dogs may have fears and anxieties due to past experiences and will need time to adapt to a new environment. Patience, understanding, a safe and loving environment, and establishing a routine are crucial for building trust and strengthening the bond with Channel.
