About Coraline
Coraline is a sweet, laid-back 6-month-old Doberman or Beauceron mix weighing 45 lbs. She's estimated to reach 85-90 lbs when fully grown. Coraline is a delightful blend of sweet, curious, silly, and cuddly, always ready to entertain with her unique charm. She loves a good game of peek-a-boo, and her happy zoomies when you join in are sure to bring a smile to your face. Coraline is a people-oriented pup who enjoys being near her humans, following them around like a little shadow. She's not overly demanding for attention, making her an easy companion. You'll often find her showing affection with gentle puppy kisses or resting a paw on your leg as she drifts off to sleep. Coraline has a wonderfully calm and balanced temperament, making her an excellent work-from-home buddy. She's happy to entertain herself quietly with a toy or bone, and she's social with both people and other dogs, greeting them calmly before returning to her play. Coraline offers the best of both worlds: playful yet laid-back, independent yet loving, and goofy yet intuitive – she's sure to be your little sidekick, shadow, and best friend.
Ideal Home
Coraline is a low to medium energy dog with occasional bursts of puppy energy that are easily managed with playtime. She enjoys a mix of adventure and relaxation, whether it's leisurely walks, short hikes, patio outings, or cozy evenings on the couch. She thrives when included in her family's daily routine and would love a home with a fenced yard for safe play. Coraline needs a home without apartments or condos due to her potential nervousness in busy, noisy areas. She absolutely needs to have another dog in her forever home to thrive, and would do well with either calmer, older dogs or playful, spunky companions. Coraline is great with older children who understand she's a large, goofy puppy and could potentially knock over very young toddlers. She can also adapt to a home with a dog-friendly cat who has prior experience with dogs. Coraline's human should be home more often than not, though doggy daycare a few days a week would be fine. She needs a family that wants to spend quality time with her and loves her unconditionally. Public dog parks are not recommended due to potential health risks and bullying from other dogs.
Ongoing Health
Coraline is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. She is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
Training & Support
Coraline is potty trained and kennel trained. She is currently working on leash training and will need additional practice to build confidence on walks. She is treat motivated and learns quickly with positive reinforcement. Coraline will alert you when she needs to go outside by pacing at the back door or using a doggy door. She should be taken out every 3-4 hours until she settles into a new routine. Using a doggy doorbell can be helpful if a doggy door is not available.
