Buddy

Buddy is an 8.5-year-old boy with a big heart, a playful spirit, and so much love to give. He's a loyal best friend who wants nothing more than to be by your side. Buddy loves people and affection, and once he gets to know you, he forms deep bonds with his family. One of his favorite things is leaning against his people while they scratch his ears or rub his back. If you stop too soon, don't be surprised if he gently paws at you to remind you that he's not quite finished soaking up all that love!

While Buddy enjoys relaxing on the couch and spending quality time with his family, he still has good energy for an older gentleman. He loves his daily walks, exploring the neighborhood, and stopping to investigate all the interesting smells along the way. He walks well on leash overall, though he may occasionally pull toward something that catches his attention. Once he's had a chance to check things out, he settles back into a nice walking rhythm. Buddy also enjoys playing with balls and toys. He might not chase them for hours like a young pup, but he still has a playful side that shines through. For him, it's all about having fun and spending time with his people. Car rides are another favorite of his. He happily hops in with a little encouragement and loves sticking his nose out the window to feel the breeze on his face. Nothing makes him smile quite like an adventure with his favorite humans.

Ideal Home

Buddy is looking for a family that understands that change can take time. He hopes to find patient, caring people who will help him feel loved, supported, and secure as he settles into his new home. His ideal family will enjoy spending time together, taking him on walks, sharing lots of affection, and letting him be part of their everyday lives. He doesn't need anything fancy - just love, companionship, and a place where he belongs.

Buddy is a senior dog and is up-to-date on all vaccinations and has been neutered.

Training & Support

Buddy walks well on leash overall, though he may occasionally pull toward something that catches his attention. Once he's had a chance to check things out, he settles back into a nice walking rhythm.
