Meet Shaggy! This sweet, medium-sized boy came to us with his companions Paloma and Scooby after their owner in San José sadly passed away. With no one left to care for them, kind neighbors did what they could, but these three suddenly found themselves without the home they once knew. Shaggy is understandably cautious right now. Losing your person and ending up in a shelter would shake any dog, but Shaggy is trying his best to trust again. He has a thick coat and needs a cooler environment; Mexico is too hot for him.

Shaggy deserves a calm, loving home to help him heal from such a big loss. He is ready for someone who will show him he is safe again. He needs a cooler environment, as Mexico is too hot for him.

Transporation
Our rescue is located near Bucerias, Mexico. Approved adopters are matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home. During the summer months, it can be challenging to secure Canadian flight angels, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable. We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border, which remains a great option to keep adoptions moving forward.
