Meet Lucy!
This sweet, two-year-old Great Pyrenees, Labrador Retriever, and Shepherd mix is a gentle burst of sunshine. Lucy, weighing about 65 pounds, finds joy in life's simple pleasures – a sunny spot to lounge, her favorite plush lamb, and being close to her people. She enjoys walks and stretching her legs in a spacious yard, but her ultimate pastime is soaking up the sun. Lucy has completed formal obedience training and is mastering commands like sit, place, down, stay, come, and heel. She walks nicely on a leash, comes when called, and settles well into her routine. Lucy can be left alone for six to seven hours during the day and sleeps soundly in her crate at night. She also loves car rides and being part of everyday adventures!
Lucy is affectionate, medium-energy, and wonderfully devoted. She forms strong bonds with her family and thrives on companionship. While she can be cautiously excited when meeting new people, her friendly nature quickly shines through once she feels comfortable.
Ideal Home
Lucy is searching for a calm, quiet home where she can relax, ideally in a rural setting with a large fenced yard. She would do well with adults or families with older children who can provide a more peaceful environment. Lucy is not suitable for a home with young children or cats.
Ongoing Health
Lucy is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and has no medical or dietary restrictions. She is healthy and ready for her next chapter.
Training & Support
Lucy has received formal obedience training and walks nicely on a leash. She can be sensitive to high-energy environments, and in busy households, she may exhibit herding instincts by growling or engaging in 'ball-herding' behaviors when excitement levels rise. With structure, patience, and a calm routine, Lucy's affectionate and easygoing personality will continue to shine.
