Nala

Meet Nala, a beautiful 4-year-old Basenji mix who weighs about 50 pounds. Nala has a loving heart and a playful spirit, and she's ready to find her forever family. She's already spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and up-to-date on her flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Nala is kennel and potty trained, and she enjoys settling down in her crate after a day of fun. She absolutely loves to play and would be over the moon to have another playful dog as a companion. Nala has also lived successfully with cats in the past, so she could be a great fit for a multi-pet household!

Like many dogs who have experienced challenges in their past, Nala can be a bit cautious when meeting new people. She's looking for a patient adopter who understands that building trust takes time, kindness, and consistency. But once you earn her trust, Nala's loyalty is truly unmatched. She forms deep, lasting bonds and will be a devoted companion who loves with her whole heart.

Ideal Home

Nala would thrive in a quiet household with one or two adults who will give her the space and time she needs to settle in at her own pace. A confident, playful canine companion would be a wonderful addition to her home.

Training & Support

Nala has some resource-guarding tendencies with food and toys. She will do best with an adopter who is experienced with or willing to continue managing these behaviors appropriately.
