Mickey

Mickey is a 2-year-old, 44 lb bundle of love with a heart full of second chances. He was rescued from a Texas shelter and is now with Take Paws Rescue, eager to find his forever family. Mickey is a gentle soul who adores being close to his people, happily following them from room to room and soaking up all the cuddles. He's a true "shadow dog" who thrives on connection and will make you feel like the most important person in the world.

Ideal Home

Mickey would do best in a patient, loving home that understands and is willing to work with his deafness. He learns through visual cues and routine, and will be happiest with a family who can communicate with him through hand signals and positive reinforcement.

Mickey is deaf. All known health details will be discussed during the application review process.

Training & Support

Mickey is very motivated by treats, which will be a great asset in learning visual cues. He looks to his people for guidance and will benefit from a consistent routine and clear hand signals.

Transporation

Take Paws Rescue is based in New Orleans and saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South. All of our animals live in foster homes.
