Neena D7481 (was Tootsie

Neena, a senior female Husky, is a sweet girl who found herself in a crowded shelter and was running out of time. Thankfully, she was rescued and is now ready to find her forever home! She was friendly and did great with other dogs when she was on leash and in playgroups at the shelter. She's a bit on the skinny side and needs some extra love and good food to gain some weight.

Ideal Home

Neena initially had some adjusting to do in her foster home and showed some guarding behavior towards the resident husky, but after a week, she's now doing wonderfully with her! She is the top dog in her current home and enjoys walks and hanging out with her people. While she's now great with other dogs, she has a strong prey drive and is expected to chase if a cat runs. For this reason, a home without cats is recommended.

Ongoing Health

Neena is already spayed and vaccinated. She needs to gain some weight, so a home that can provide her with good nutrition is ideal.

Training & Support

Neena is still working on leash training to help her stop pulling and not get too excited when seeing other dogs on walks. She also needs some basic obedience training to build her confidence and skills. Providing her with consistent training and positive reinforcement will set her up for success.
