Hi there! I'm Misty Mae, a sweet Retriever, Spaniel, and Carolina Dog mix with an estimated birthday of May 14, 2023. I weigh around 38lbs and I'm ready to find my forever home! I was rescued from a gas station and am so grateful for this second chance. My foster family says I have a gentle soul and a heart full of love, and I truly believe I'm a wonderful house guest. I'm already housebroken and kennel trained, and I love a good routine. I'm also a smarty-pants and very food-motivated, so I'm always eager to learn new things – especially if treats are involved! I love spending time with my people, whether we're out on a walk, running errands, or just chilling at home. I have a playful side, but I'm just as happy to snuggle up and enjoy a quiet evening. When I first arrived in foster care, I was a bit shy, but with patience and love, I've gained so much confidence and am discovering how wonderful life can be.
Ideal Home
I get along well with small dogs and enjoy slow introductions to new canine friends. Larger dogs can sometimes be a bit overwhelming for me, so I'd love a family that understands and can help me feel comfortable.

Transporation
I'm currently located in Houston, TX, and transport is included in my adoption fee! Please note that pickup locations for transported dogs may vary and could be in nearby towns or even other states. We coordinate with transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas. Adopters can track their dog's journey using the Life360 app and will receive updates along the way. Facebook groups are also available for tracking updates during transport.
