Meet Penny, a beautiful 5-year-old Mini Labradoodle weighing about 20 pounds. This gentle, quiet, laid-back girl came from a puppy mill situation and is learning to feel safe and loved. She is shy with new people and may hide when frightened, but she makes progress every day. Once she trusts you, her sweet personality begins to shine.
Penny enjoys relaxing by her foster mom’s feet, running and playing, and chewing on an old frozen rag. She does well with other dogs and would love a confident, friendly canine companion to help show her the ropes. She has not yet been around cats or children.
Ideal Home
Penny needs a patient, loving family willing to give her time, reassurance, and plenty of understanding as she learns that people can be trusted. A secure environment is important because she may try to bolt when scared. Her family should safely secure electrical cords and pay close attention to doors. A standard securely fenced yard would be suitable.
Ongoing Health
Penny is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and receives monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
Training & Support
Penny is crate trained and does very well with potty training, with only occasional accidents. She walks on a leash and responds well to gentle verbal correction. She is not a jumper.
