Mars

Meet Mars! This sweet boy was found abandoned near a gas station, clearly having gone through a tough time. Thankfully, some kind people in the neighborhood spotted him and made sure he was fed until our rescue team could step in. Mars is a roughly 2-year-old, 45-50 lb Labrador Retriever mix who is eager to leave his past behind and embrace a brighter future. He absolutely adores people and greets everyone with enthusiasm. He also gets along wonderfully with other dogs, especially those who enjoy a good romp! With a little guidance, he could even share his home with feline friends. Mars would do best in a home with older children who won't be accidentally bowled over by his happy energy. His recall is already fantastic, making him a prime candidate for a loving family.

Ideal Home

Mars would thrive in an active home with older children. He is also open to sharing his space with cats if given proper introductions and structure.

Ongoing Health

Mars is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. He is currently being treated for heartworm and will be provided with monthly Heartgard to continue his treatment.

Training & Support

Mars is currently boarding with a trainer and learning to be a dog again. He has a great recall and is eager to please, making him a joy to work with.
