Meet MaCherie! This sweet girl, whose name means "My Darling" in French, truly lives up to her moniker. She's a happy and affectionate young dog who quickly forms deep, meaningful bonds with her people. While she might be a little shy in new situations, MaCherie's desire to connect shines through, and with a little time, she blossoms into a devoted companion eager to be part of the action and stay close to her favorite person. She'll happily follow you from room to room, curious about everything you do.
MaCherie is the perfect blend of playful and calm. She enjoys her toys, chewing on bones, and learning new things with tasty treats. She loves to get her energy out in the yard or on walks, and afterward, she's perfectly content to curl up nearby and snooze, ideally with her head resting on your foot.
Ideal Home
MaCherie will thrive in an active but not chaotic home where she can be included and build confidence at her own pace. She is not a good fit for homes with cats due to her strong prey drive, or homes with small children due to her strength and enthusiasm.

Training & Support
MaCherie is fully housebroken and knows "sit," "shake," "here," and "get in your crate." She is respectful of boundaries and stays off furniture, except for her beloved porch futon. She is well-behaved in the car. She may coexist with the right dog after slow, structured introductions. MaCherie is looking for a patient adopter who enjoys training and working with an intelligent, athletic rescue dog. She genuinely wants to do the right thing and looks to her person for guidance.
