Hildie’s story is one of pure resilience and love. This tiny 7-pound Chihuahua came into Sunnyside Street Dogs with a gentle heart and an old soul. At 8 years old, she knows exactly what she wants in life—warm laps, soft blankets, tasty treats, and someone who will adore her the way she deserves.

Now living in a caring foster home, Hildie has blossomed into the definition of a velcro pup. She’s calm, affectionate, and happiest when she’s tucked right by your side. Her favorite activities include curling up on your lap, nibbling on her chew toys, and soaking up every bit of love she can get. She’s house trained, polite, and carries that classic Chihuahua charm that makes you fall in love instantly. This sweet 'lil bit fits under your arm, on your hip or on a lap so easy. She is the ideal small, gentle and cuddly companion.

Hildie gets along beautifully with other dogs, is friendly with cats, and fits right into any cozy household. Despite whatever her past may have been, she is trusting, tender, and beyond grateful for companionship. She’s ready to find her forever home—a quiet, loving place where she can be cherished endlessly.

*We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.

*Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.

*Listed breed is based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.

*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

*All of our adopters are invited to join our “Alum Pupdates” Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
