Prince is a handsome gentleman who found himself in a difficult situation through no fault of his own. He's approximately 2 to 2.5 years old and weighs between 58 and 64 pounds. Originally surrendered to a high-kill shelter, Prince was facing euthanasia due to overcrowding and a heartworm diagnosis. Thankfully, he was rescued and received comprehensive care, including neutering, heartworm treatment (he's no longer positive!), and surgery to correct an entropion eye issue. He has since recovered beautifully and is now a real gem, up-to-date on all his vaccinations.
Ideal Home
Prince would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard, as he loves to play outdoors. He's not well-suited for apartment living. While he enjoys the company of other dogs, including small, medium, and large breeds of both genders, a canine companion is not a requirement. He's adaptable and could be a wonderful addition to a family with children, a couple, or a single person, as long as they include him in their daily adventures. Absolutely no tie-outs or electric fences will be permitted.
Ongoing Health
Prince has been fully treated for heartworms and has no lingering complications. His eye surgery to correct entropion was successful, and his eye is now fully healed. He is current on all his vaccinations.
Training & Support
Prince is crate trained and potty trained. He is treat and food motivated and has learned commands such as "sit," "come," and "heel" for leash walking. He's also been taught to take treats gently. While he previously exhibited some humping behavior with other dogs in the shelter, this has stopped since his neutering.

Transportation
Prince is currently in a foster home in Fort Worth, TX. Transport can be arranged after the adoption is finalized, with K9 Delivery LLC being the service used. If you prefer to arrange your own transport, the adoption fee remains the same. Please verify the transport company's route and pickup locations before committing to ensure they align with your travel plans.
