Maverick

Meet Maverick! This handsome boy is looking for a new forever home! Maverick is estimated to be about 4 years old. His adoption fee has been sponsored, so there is no cost to adopt him!

Maverick was part of a hoarding case where about 30 Husky mixes lived in one home. The owner, who recently passed away, loved all the dogs dearly. When the rescue team arrived, they found the "Top Gun" theme song playing on repeat, which inspired Maverick's name!

These dogs are not your typical hoarding case dogs. Maverick is sweet, well-mannered, and well-behaved. He is crate trained (prefers a plastic crate over wire), knows some basic commands, and understands the concept of potty training. While we can't guarantee he won't have accidents in a new environment, he has a great foundation.

Ideal Home

Maverick would do best in a home with female dogs. He is also good with kids. We do not believe he is a good fit for a home with cats, as he may chase them.

Ongoing Health

Maverick is fixed, fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He has also started on preventatives.

Training & Support

Maverick is crate trained and understands basic commands and potty training concepts. Like any dog adjusting to a new home, he may have occasional accidents, but he has a good foundation.
