Hi there! I'm Derek, a sweet and playful Lab mix puppy who's about 13 weeks old. My siblings and I had a great time growing up in Puerto Rico, but now it's time for us to find our forever homes in the DC area! I'm looking for a family that will let me run, play with my toys, and go on fun walks to explore the neighborhood. Snuggles are my favorite, especially in between all the excitement. I'm also eager to make some new doggie friends and attend puppy obedience classes to show off how smart I am!

Ideal Home

I'm ready to be a part of an active family that can give me plenty of playtime and snuggles. Since I'm still a puppy, I'll need multiple potty breaks and exercise sessions throughout the day. If you have a standard 8-hour workday, please be prepared to make arrangements to ensure I get the attention I need!

Ongoing Health

I've received age-appropriate vaccines, but it's important for my new family to ensure I complete my puppy vaccination series on schedule. Until I'm fully vaccinated, I'll be more susceptible to illnesses.

Training & Support

I'm a puppy and will need to work on my house training and attend obedience school to become a well-socialized and well-behaved companion.

I'm currently in a shelter in Puerto Rico, but I can be transported to the DC area once I have a foster or forever home.
