Potato is a 4-year-old, 42lb bundle of joy with a heart of gold! She got her name from her adorable brown coat and sweet, smudged face. Potato lived on her own for a long time and was understandably very scared of people. Her sadness and fear tugged at our heartstrings, and we knew we had to give her a second chance. Now, she's blossomed into the happiest, brightest, and most playful gal who truly loves life! She's incredibly intelligent and learns quickly, making her an utter delight to have around. Potato adores her people and showers them with hugs and kisses, and she's just as affectionate with her canine companions.
Ideal Home
Potato would thrive in a home with experienced owners who understand she needs patience and time to adjust. She is frightened of the high energy of children and would do best in a home without them. She needs a securely fenced yard to keep her safe, as she is a roamer/runner when feeling fearful. Potato also needs to be in a home with at least one medium to extra-large dog companion, as other dogs are her support system and help her build confidence. She is unsure about cats or other small animals and would not recommend them.
Ongoing Health
Potato has no current medical issues or medications. Her grooming needs are medium.
Training & Support
Potato is house-trained and crate-trained. While she is afraid of new people and will bark at strangers entering the home, she has never been unkind. Her canine friends help her overcome her fears and become more curious about people. With patience and understanding, she will continue to build trust.
