Nona is a one-year-old, 50-pound spayed female Staffie mix with a personality that's truly starting to shine! She's in her "older puppy era," full of playful energy but growing more confident and curious about the world each day. Nona is built like a little tank with her short, sturdy frame and an adorably front-heavy build. She's surprisingly fast and loves to zoom around the yard with her toys, often greeting her foster mom with an enthusiastic leap. Nona is all sweetness and loves being near her people, happy to be your little shadow. Her whole body wiggles with excitement, and her tail goes a mile a minute! She's a social butterfly who enjoys meeting new people and dogs. Nona has a charming stubborn streak that makes her even more lovable. She's incredibly clever and enjoys puzzles, and she's known to lovingly nibble chins when excited.
Ideal Home
Nona would do well in a calm home with respectful, well-mannered children who understand how to interact with an older puppy. She'd thrive with a confident canine friend who is respectful of personal space and happy to share the spotlight, but she'd also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only.

Training & Support
Nona is highly motivated by toys and treats, making training fun! She has recently mastered "sit" and is continuing to work on her leash manners. She is fully crate trained, especially overnight, and settles beautifully. Nona is also doing great with her potty training and needs a family willing to continue reinforcing her routine. She can be a bit of a shy watchdog and will sound the alarm if she hears or sees something unfamiliar. While she may not love car rides, she's delightful once she arrives at her destination.

Transporation
Nona is currently being fostered in Austin, TX, but she can be transported out of state when matched with an approved adopter. Transport is included in the adoption donation and runs every few weeks.
