Seven years of loyalty meant nothing when Snow's family welcomed a new baby and decided they couldn't handle his emotions. He was heartbroken, even trying to follow them back out the door, convinced they would return. This isn't just a sad story; it's a tale of raw grief that no dog should ever experience. We couldn't leave him behind when we met him, so Snow joined our rescue.
A vet visit revealed the painful truth: Snow had gnawed his teeth down to the pulp and roots, likely out of panic and distress. After ten extractions, he's on the mend, and we're discovering just how wonderful he truly is! In foster care, Snow has shown us his true colors: he's housebroken, has moderate energy, walks beautifully on a leash, and gets along great with other dogs, especially medium to large breeds. He's gentle with children over 5 and doesn't exhibit resource guarding or fear triggers. While he dislikes crates, he doesn't need one. He's a master of couch naps and backyard zoomies, a true enthusiast of Milk Bones, and enjoys his dry food twice a day. He sleeps soundly whether left alone or not. Snow thrives with canine company and would adore a dog sibling to play with.
Ideal Home
Snow's dream home includes a secure fenced yard, a loving family with children over 5, and ideally, one or more canine companions to romp with. He'd love free roam of the house, access to the couch or bed, and endless pets and affection. Humans who understand that commitment is a promise will win his heart.
Ongoing Health
Snow has undergone ten dental extractions due to self-inflicted injury from chewing. He is currently healing from this procedure.
Training & Support
Snow is housebroken and a good leash walker. He doesn't need a crate.
