About Gigi

Meet Gigi!

After three years on the streets and more litters than any dog should ever have to raise, Gigi is still a soft, gentle sweetheart. This beagle mix is around 35 pounds and has a quiet, observant nature. She's good with people but a little shy at first, which is understandable given her past. With a little time and kindness, she settles in and leans into affection, as if she's been waiting for it.

Gigi is excellent with other dogs and takes comfort from their presence, so a home with a steady canine companion would be ideal. However, old habits die hard. She's a flight risk, so a securely fenced yard is a must. This means an actual, solid fence, not just supervision or a tie-out, because she knows how to take care of herself, which includes knowing how to escape. What she needs now is the opposite of her past experiences: stability, patience, and a safe home where she can learn to simply be someone's beloved dog.

Gigi is incredibly dog-friendly, affectionate towards adults, beautifully house-trained, sleeps soundly in her crate, and is not afraid of storms. While she doesn't dislike children, she startles easily and her immediate reaction is to flee, so she'd likely do best in a home with teenagers or older children.

Ideal Home

A securely fenced yard is not optional, as Gigi is a flight risk. She would also benefit from a home with a steady canine companion. This sweet girl would do best in a home with teenagers or older children.
