CHICO

Chico and his bonded buddy, Pickles, are a street-smart duo looking for their forever home! Pickles, who has a history of street living since he was young, has been a regular visitor to our shelter and has formed a strong bond with the staff, always feeling safe and loved. He's up for any adventure, whether it's a good hike or a leisurely day at the park with endless belly rubs. Chico is a bit younger and full of energy. He may take a day or so to warm up and earn his trust, but a few yummy treats will have him coming around in no time. Although he's a little less trusting than Pickles, he's lovely once he feels comfortable. Their former owner cared for them deeply, and they come from a loving situation. Now, they need a home to call their own. It might take them a little time to adjust to indoor living after their time in parks, but they are smart and will surely appreciate a comfy couch and cuddles. Ideal Home

A home where Chico and Pickles can stay together is a must. They have proven to be great companions on hikes and in the car, but Pickles will need a strong handler or continued leash work. Both dogs are non-reactive to other dogs and joggers, though they do notice smaller critters like squirrels, birds, and lizards.
