Gypsy

Meet the shy and unique Gypsy! Sweet Gypsy is a very special needs dog, just over a year old, and a Border Collie Lab cross. We have no idea what happened to her as a puppy, but it certainly wasn't pleasant. Gypsy wants affection on her terms. If you're sitting or laying down, she will come close for a bit of love. She sleeps on her foster mom's bed and allows her to stroke her head, even occasionally asking for affection with a soft nudge. She's 100% house-trained and crate-trained as well. She's not noisy in the house, but will bark when there's excitement outside. Gypsy has made great leaps forward in her foster home, slowly learning that people can be kind. She is now allowed to run loose outside the fenced area with the other dogs, and she trusts her foster mom and knows her home.

Ideal Home

Gypsy needs a quiet, gentle person/people in her life willing to make an effort to earn her trust, or just accept her for who she is. A fully fenced secure yard is a MUST HAVE to help her build confidence and feel secure while settling in.

Ongoing Health

Gypsy is up to date on core vaccines (DA2PPV, Rabies) and deworming. She has had a health check and has been spayed.

Training & Support

Gypsy still needs lots of work on leash training. She circles on leash and in the yard, unless she's chasing squirrels!
