Meet Idgie, a beautiful 3-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix weighing about 62 pounds. She's already spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and fully up to date on all her care, making her ready to head straight into her forever home. With her striking looks and soulful eyes, Idgie has a quiet presence that draws you in. She loves people the most, but she also does wonderfully with other dogs her size and truly enjoys having a canine companion to bond with. Idgie is also cat-friendly and has been around children of various ages, always remaining calm and gentle. Her steady temperament makes her a great fit for a family environment. In the home, Idgie is an easy and respectful housemate. She is fully housebroken and crate trained, and she has comfortably stayed in her crate for up to nine hours. At night, she sleeps peacefully beside her foster’s bed without making a peep. She loves her cozy routine and is happiest when she’s near her people. While Idgie can get the occasional burst of zoomies, she’s not high-energy all day long. She enjoys playtime but equally loves long naps and cuddling up beside you. She’s smart, a little serious at first, and incredibly loving once she feels secure. Overall, Idgie will make an amazing forever friend. She’s loyal, affectionate, and ready to form a deep bond with her new family. If you’re looking for a devoted companion with a gentle heart, Idgie may just be your perfect match.
Ideal Home
Idgie can be a bit of an escape artist, so a yard with at least 6-foot fencing is recommended.
Ongoing Health
Idgie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on all her care.
Training & Support
Idgie has shown some resource guarding around her meals, so she is fed separately from other pets. However, she has no issues with treats, toys, or bones, just her food bowl. With simple management at mealtime, she continues to thrive and show what a well-mannered girl she is.
