Chip is a 2-year-old, neutered male Pit bull mix who weighs about 60 lbs. Chip is as sweet as a chocolate chip cookie and is looking for his forever home! He's a playful, curious, and loving dog who enjoys cuddling and being around his people. Chip can be a bit cautious when meeting new people, but once he trusts you, he'll be your best friend. He's a Velcro dog who loves to be your shadow.
Chip adores his people, enjoys sniffing walks and does well on the leash, is crate-trained and potty-trained, and loves to be outdoors. He's also a big fan of costumes! Chip has done well with his calm foster dog siblings and enjoys playing with them. We recommend slow introductions to other dogs and believe he would do best with calm, submissive doggy siblings who are happy to engage with him in play. Chip would also do well as an only dog if he could go on outings. He asks that he not live with any cats.
Ideal Home
Chip would thrive with an experienced adopter who can provide patience, safety, and endless love. His ideal humans would enjoy having him as their right-hand man and understand that he can be anxious when left alone. He would do best in a home that can keep up with his training and would love to work with him. Chip has done well around older children and would happily accompany you on your outings, including car rides and walks.

Chip is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations. He has been working on his separation anxiety and can be crated when left home alone.

Chip is currently in a foster home in Houston, Texas. He can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up.
