Ace

Meet Ace, a sweet boy looking for a patient, loving family. Ace is incredibly food-motivated, which is a great way to build trust and help him adjust to new things, like hardwood floors! He walks beautifully on a leash and loves his feline friends, making him a wonderful addition to a home with cats. Ace also enjoys chew toys, but stuffed toys aren't his cup of tea.

Ideal Home

Ace would thrive in a home where someone is around more often, as he enjoys having his people nearby. Loud storms and fireworks can be scary for him, so he'll appreciate a family that helps him feel safe during those times. He enjoys affection in small doses and isn't much of a cuddler unless it's on his terms. He also doesn't enjoy being petted for long periods or having people right in his face; if he's uncomfortable, he'll simply walk away.

Training & Support

Ace is still learning house routines as he spent much of his life as an outside dog. He doesn't always let you know when he needs to go potty, so he'll need a family willing to continue helping him with that. He's used to sleeping in a crate at night and staying in one when his people are away, and he does well with that routine.
