Meet Hercules! This adorable cattle dog mix is a very sweet, loving, and affectionate guy who has been with us for a while. He's a smart boy who truly embodies his breed, needing plenty of exercise and a daily purpose – something that's hard to provide in a shelter environment. Because of this, he's developed some anxiety. A behavioral trainer has evaluated him and found him to be a great dog with no aggression, but he does have boundaries and triggers that need to be respected and handled with understanding. Most importantly, Hercules needs an outlet for his energy and lots of exercise.

Hercules would thrive with adopters who are well-acquainted and experienced with herding breeds and dogs managing anxiety. He needs an active family that can provide him with daily exercise, a calm and reassuring environment, and who will respect his individuality and boundaries.
