Meet Valentina!
Valentina is a beautiful 45 lb Black Mouth Cur mix who embodies calm, gentleness, loyalty, and nobility. While she may be a bit shy with new people, her sweet and trusting nature truly blossoms once she feels secure. She's a survivor, born under an abandoned house during freezing weather, and her resilience is inspiring. Now, Valentina is ready for a loving home where she can finally feel safe, cherished, and stable.
Ideal Home
Valentina would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard, and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. Ideal adopters will have an open mind about the needs of rescued animals, and possess experience in dog behavior and training with plenty of patience for a rescued pup.
Ongoing Health
Valentina has been spayed/neutered and received DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines, as well as deworming. She has tested negative for heartworm and comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Valentina is already leash trained, crate trained, and house trained. She communicates when she needs to go outside. While she is house-trained, the shelter notes that they are unable to house-train every foster pet due to the large number of animals they care for.

- Fill out our adoption form.
- Send photos and videos of your home to ensure a safe environment for your future furry friend.
- If it's a match, we'll schedule a video chat for a meet and greet and a virtual home tour.
- We will speak with 1-2 of your references.
- If approved, you'll sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which covers vet care, spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and food.
Transportation
Valentina is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. She is available for transport to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest. Door-to-door delivery is available for a one-time fee of $400 USD. Transport is handled by a contracted company, with scheduled trips 3-4 times a year. You will receive real-time updates throughout the journey in a private Facebook Messenger group.
