Meet George!
If happiness had a face, it would be George! He came to us after being found as a stray, but has adjusted to life in his foster home so well! This affectionate, energetic, all-around lovable pup is basically sunshine in dog form. George loves everyone he meets and just wants to be wherever his people are. Inside, outside, doesn't matter, as long as he's with you, he's happy. He looks super serious in photos, but definitely is not. He constantly runs into his crate in case someone wants to give him a carrot! He is fully crate trained and will settle all night and during the day.
George is the definition of enthusiastic. Walk? Amazing and is soooo happy on walks. Backyard time? Incredible. Kids? His favorite! He thrives on connection, play, and being your loyal shadow through every part of the day. He also loves water and likes to swim! He knows sit and down, roll over, and does great with his leash manners and is potty trained. He is food driven and takes correction well - his eagerness to please makes him a great student. He loves a bone and will just chew and chew to keep himself busy - oh, and performing stuffy toy surgery.
Ideal Home
George would do best in a home with a yard where he can burn off some energy and enjoy the outdoors he loves so much. He gets along well with other dogs and doesn't need a canine sibling, but he's definitely down for a buddy if the vibe is right.
Ongoing Health
George is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is on monthly preventatives. Spay/Neuter will be scheduled when age-appropriate and is covered in the adoption fee. We require adopters to be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach in order to complete spay/neuter with our approved clinics.
