Beth and her siblings found themselves unwanted and abandoned at a high kill shelter in West Texas. She is a sweet, silly, sassy girl with a side of stubbornness who loves to play and snuggle with her foster siblings, both dogs and cats. Beth is a one-year-old (born June 8th, 2025) pit bull mix with plenty of puppy energy, so she needs an active home. She does a good job sharing toys and bones and will sit for treats, though she can get a little excited when taking them, so she needs gentle reminders. Beth is crate trained and can be trusted out of her crate. She is house-trained and does well when left alone, provided she has safe toys and bones to keep her busy. A good walk or playtime before leaving will ensure she naps for a few hours. Beth is 100% potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside. She enjoys car rides and adventures and does well at vet visits and pet-friendly events.
Ideal Home
Beth would love to have another dog in the house to continue to learn from and play with. She wants to be by your side and snuggle with her humans. She would do best in a home with older, respectful children, as she can get unsure and bark at younger children and may jump when excited, potentially knocking a small child over. A fenced-in yard would be ideal, as she likes to wander.
Ongoing Health
No specific health concerns were mentioned in the listing.
Training & Support
Beth is leash-trained and does well with a quick, gentle correction if she pulls at the beginning of a walk. She knows "sit," "stay," "leave it," and "no," and is working on "down," "heal," and "shake." Her recall is good, but she can be a bit stubborn in her own yard when she doesn't want to come inside yet. She can get protective and guarded at times, but this can be easily corrected.
