This handsome five-year-old American Pitbull Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix is a bundle of joy with a sleek black coat and charming white accents. Blue is the ultimate adventure buddy who also knows the value of a good cuddle. He loves playing fetch, tug-of-war, and can often be found enjoying the great outdoors. When it's time to relax, he's happy to lounge by your side or keep your feet warm. He's a smart cookie, knows several commands, and is house-trained and crate-trained, thriving on a predictable routine. Blue prefers a calm, low-traffic environment.
Ideal Home
Blue would do best as the only pet in a quiet home with experienced, patient caregivers who understand behavior management. He needs a home without young children due to his sensitivity to high energy and loud environments. A fenced yard or regular access to outdoor activity is essential for this energetic boy.
Ongoing Health
Blue has allergies and is currently on a fish-based diet. He receives a yearly allergy shot to help him stay comfortable.
Training & Support
Blue can exhibit territorial behavior and reactivity towards other dogs, especially when feeling protective. He has bitten two dogs who approached him too closely. While he has managed structured walks peacefully with other dogs, he is not compatible with cats and can be selective with other dogs. He would benefit from continued training using positive reinforcement.
