Pistol - Fostered in Holland, MI

Pistol is a handsome 30-pound Miniature Poodle mix, born in September 2022. He's a sweet boy who's outgrown his most mischievous puppy days but still has a playful spirit. Pistol loves to run and play, and would be happiest with an active human or another dog to share his zest for life. He enjoys cuddling and will gently nudge his way into your lap for pets when he's seeking some extra attention. While he can be a little cautious when meeting new people, treats quickly win him over! He's house-trained and has been well-behaved when left loose in the house, as long as he's in a room away from windows where he can't see outdoor activity. He might get overly excited by things he can't participate in, so a home that can manage visual stimulation is ideal.

Ideal Home

Pistol thrives in a home with a securely fenced yard for him to run and play. He would do best in a home without young children or in a home where he can be kept away from windows that look out onto active outdoor scenes. We do not know how Pistol would do with cats.

Ongoing Health

Pistol is a neutered male and is up-to-date on his vaccinations.

Training & Support

Pistol is house-trained and has been crate-trained in the past, sometimes using his crate when his foster family leaves. He has learned to be content when left loose in the house, provided he is in an area away from windows.
