Doctor Beef

Doctor Beef is an affectionate and spunky girl who is looking for a family that's ready to welcome her playful personality into their home. She is house trained and mostly crate trained, though she does experience separation anxiety. Once she becomes more comfortable, she settles more easily when left alone. She has a solid "sit" and is a joy to train with treats, currently working on "stay," "wait," and "spin." Around the house, she's happy to entertain herself or be by your side. Doctor Beef loves playtime, especially tug-of-war and catch, and is obsessed with her squeaky toy! Her curiosity means a dog-proofed home is a must while her training continues. She's never destroyed anything, but diligence in keeping tempting items out of reach is key.

Ideal Home

Doctor Beef would do best in a home where she has ample room to run and play, or can go on frequent, engaging walks and adventures. She is looking for a family who is ready to take the time to allow her to properly decompress and is patient with slow introductions to new people and animals. She would do best in a home without any cats or small animals due to her prey drive.

Ongoing Health

Doctor Beef may be a dog who pees submissively. While she can be firm, kindness and confidence-building are important.

Training & Support

Doctor Beef is still working on leash pulling and would benefit from continued training. She is wary of men and may need slow introductions to new people. She has had a few accidents in the house, thought to be related to submissive urination, so kindness and confidence-building are key.
