Ranger

My name is Ranger, and I am a handsome 2-year-old boy weighing 20 lbs. I came to SIRA after being abandoned by a commercial breeder at a vet's office. The vet noticed some broken and missing teeth, but thankfully, they were able to address my dental pain. I was very scared at first, but I've blossomed in my foster home, showing my silly, playful side. I love to toss toys, wrestle with other dogs, and especially enjoy tasty beef liver treats!

Ideal Home

I need a securely fenced yard for playtime and potty breaks, as leash training is still a work in progress due to my sensitivity to things around my neck. I would do best in a home without small children, as they can be a bit too overwhelming for me. A family familiar with shy and fearful dogs would be ideal, allowing me to continue to feel safe and confident.

Ongoing Health

I am a healthy boy! My dental issues have been addressed by the vet, and I am ready for a loving home.

Training & Support

Leash training is an ongoing process for me. I am learning to be comfortable with a step-in harness, which feels much better than a collar. Patience and understanding from my adoptive family will be key to my continued progress.

I am currently being fostered in Jonesboro, MO. We are looking for a home in the Midwest and can arrange transportation for approved adopters.
