MEET BUCKY: The Athletic Explorer
If you are looking for an outdoor partner with a gentle, loyal soul, Bucky is your guy. He is independent but deeply bonded to his humans, always keeping a quiet, watchful eye on the people he loves. Bucky is curious, intelligent, and quietly loyal. He loves to investigate his surroundings and take in the world through his nose. He has a moderate-to-high athletic energy level, making him the perfect partner for morning jogs, long hikes, or a vigorous game of fetch in the yard. A fun quirk about Bucky is that he is a total fruit lover! After a meal, he loves to do a little active foraging in the yard to pick his own fresh strawberries and raspberries. Bucky has exceptional home manners; he is fully crate-trained, housebroken, and a total breeze to have around the house.
MEET CHARLIE: The Big Cuddle Bug
Charlie is a massive softie who believes his true calling in life is to be a lap dog and his heart is pure mush. He is affectionate, eager to please, and highly responsive. If you stop petting him, he will give you a gentle nudge just to remind you he's there. Charlie has a playful energy level but possesses an excellent "off switch." He loves a good play session, but his absolute favorite activity is snuggling up tight on the couch. Charlie is highly obedient and incredibly responsive to commands, always aiming to please his humans. Just like his brother, Charlie is completely housebroken and crate-trained.
These two sweet brothers narrowly escaped a Texas euthanasia list at the start of June, surviving a chaotic transport situation before being saved by a network of incredible rescuers who brought them to NJ. They are currently safe in a loving foster home, but their foster must travel for the months of July and August. They have absolutely no backup placement. We urgently need permanent adopters or a committed summer foster home for them to ensure they don't lose the safety they just found.
