Lucy

Lucy is a charming 5-year-old, 31 lb Australian Cattle Dog who is ready to find her forever family! She's a smaller-sized Blue Heeler with a heart full of loyalty and a mind full of smarts. Lucy's previous life wasn't ideal, as she lived on a chain, but thankfully, she was surrendered to us for spaying and is now in a loving foster home in Texas with 8 other dogs, learning what it means to be cherished and included. She's pretty mellow and easy-going, though she can be a little bossy with some dogs. When she encounters a dog she doesn't click with, she might playfully nip at their heels – a classic Heeler move! Lucy is the undisputed champion of fetch and has so far shown no interest in cats. She's a bit curious about small dogs, but overall, she's a well-behaved companion.

Ideal Home

Lucy would do best with an adopter who is familiar with herding breeds. She can be a little timid with new people and needs some time to warm up.

Ongoing Health

Lucy is spayed, microchipped, healthy, and up to date on all her vaccines and preventions.

Training & Support

Lucy is potty trained, crate trained (though she prefers to be by your side), and leash trained. She loves affection but isn't overly needy. Her typical Heeler traits include supervising everyone, following her people, and giving dramatic side-eye when she's judging your life choices.

Transporation

Lucy is currently in Texas. Out-of-state adopters are welcome! Private transport with K9 Delivery LLC can be arranged for an additional $200, which includes a health certificate, vet exam, and transportation to your area.
