Bear is a handsome, confident, and people-loving guy with a big presence and an even bigger heart! He's estimated to be just over a year old and weighs about 60 lbs. While we think he might be a pittie mix, breed and age are always our best guess with rescue. Bear is eager to learn and is very treat-motivated, making him a joy to train. He absolutely shines when it comes to people skills – he's loving, enjoys interaction, and is happy to be by your side, whether he's getting attention or just lounging nearby. He's already house-trained and crate-trained, so he comes with some great pre-programmed skills!
Ideal Home
Bear would do well in a home that can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and ongoing training. He'd be a great fit with a confident, calm, larger female dog who won't be overwhelmed by his playful energy. While Bear has shown curiosity and restraint with cats, a dog-savvy, confident feline friend and slow introductions would be essential for a peaceful coexistence.
Ongoing Health
Bear is a healthy young dog.
Training & Support
As Bear is still in his puppy days, he's a work in progress and experiencing many things for the first time. He'll need continued guidance on leash manners, especially when he gets excited about seeing other dogs. He does respond well to corrections and can settle with clear, consistent handling. With other dogs, Bear's play can sometimes be a little too enthusiastic, but he has shown respect for boundaries once he gets to know them. With the right dog match, proper introductions, and structure, he'll make a wonderful playmate.
