About Boone

Boone is the dog who turns every gathering into a good time! He walks into a space like it’s already his favorite place—tail up, eyes bright, fully expecting joy. And more often than not, joy shows up right on schedule. Boone has been lovingly dubbed a “party starter,” and it fits: he loves to play, loves to engage, and loves other dogs of all sizes. If there’s a game happening, Boone is already in it. Now just over a year old and 50 pounds, Boone is healthy, sturdy, and clearly feeling good in his body. That wasn’t always the case—he came into rescue underweight and in rough physical shape—but thanks to consistent care and a devoted foster, his glow-up has been nothing short of remarkable. What you see now is a happy, confident young dog who knows how to enjoy life. At home, Boone is refreshingly easy. He’s fully house-trained and crate-trained, quiet in his kennel, and smart enough to put himself away if treats might be involved. He walks well on leash, picks up routines quickly, and benefits from clear structure when adjusting to new places. He may take a little longer to warm up to men than women, but once he does, his sweetness is unmistakable—affectionate, playful, and deeply eager to belong. Boone isn’t fragile. He isn’t complicated. He’s a joyful, social, well-rounded young dog who’s ready for the next chapter. All that’s missing now is the person who says, “Alright, Boone. Let’s go home.”

Ideal Home

Boone needs a secure, fenced yard. He thrives when he has safe space to run, play, and burn off his joyful young-dog energy. He’s also looking for an adopter with a solid veterinary history, someone committed to continuing the care that helped him get here.

Ongoing Health

Boone is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and is up to date on heartworm prevention and flea/tick treatment.

Training & Support

Boone is fully house-trained and crate-trained, and is quiet in his kennel. He walks well on leash and picks up routines quickly. He may take a little longer to warm up to men, but is affectionate and eager to belong once he does.
